Close East Africa's insurance protection gap — one high-performing sales force at a time.
I have spent 23 years doing one thing: building insurance distribution systems that actually work.
That journey started in February 2002 as a Sales Executive at Mediplus Limited — learning the fundamentals of insurance sales from the ground up. It has taken me through every level of APA Insurance's sales leadership ladder — from Unit Manager to Sales Manager, Regional Manager, Head of Direct Sales Force, and now Group Head of Direct Sales Force at APA Apollo Group, leading operations across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
Along the way, I became the first person in Africa to qualify as a LIMRA Associate Insurance Agency Manager (AIAM) — a global professional designation that reflects a commitment to the science and practice of building high-performing agency forces.
East Africa's insurance penetration sits below 3%. To me, that is not a problem to manage — it is the defining commercial and social opportunity of this generation. Every new policy is a family protected, a business secured, a future guaranteed.
I am building the sales force that will close that gap.
